DR. ART WELTMAN
SPORTS PHYSIOLOGIST
Dr. Art Weltman has had proven success using Redcord for LPGA players, top collegiate players and players of all ages and all abilities that are generally just looking to hit the golf ball further.
Dr. Weltman serves on the North American Science Advisory Board for Redcord. He is a Professor in the Department of Human Services and in the Department of Medicine at the University of Virginia. He is also a member of the University of Virginia Institute on Aging Advisory Board and is the Director of the Exercise Physiology Graduate Program and Director of the General Clinical Research Center Exercise Physiology Laboratory (the first GCRC based Exercise Physiology Laboratory).
His research laboratory has made major contributions in the areas of fitness and health, the blood lactate response to exercise, hormonal response to acute and chronic exercise (particularly the growth hormone response to exercise), and in the area of lifestyle intervention on outcomes measures associated with cardiometabolic risk. He is the Exercise Physiology Scientific Advisor for the University of Virginia Athletic Department and has served on numerous health and fitness advisory boards in the United States.
