About KCG

Kandi Comer Golf is located at Old Trail Golf Club in Crozet, Virginia. Kandi and her professional staff offer private and group golf lessons for adults and juniors, schools, clinics, club fittings, corporate events, golf-specific fitness sessions, and much more. Instruction and programs have been developed so they are easy to understand and effective for all levels and abilities of golfers.

Kandi is recognized as one of the top instructors in Virginia by Golf Digest and as a US Kids Top 50 Junior Instructor. She is ranked by Golf Digest as National Top 100 National Clubfitter.

Kandi Comer loves to develop up-and-coming talent. Her players compete in U.S. Juniors, U.S. Amateurs, U.S. Mid-Amateurs, and U.S. Opens. Kandi was selected as the 2005 PGA Junior Golf Leader of the Year, and served on the PGA President’s Council on Growing the Game. She is currently recognized as a US Kids Top 50 Junior Instructor.



Years mentoring players

Kandi Comer has been mentoring players of all skill levels for more than 25 years by providing them with a firm knowledge of the basic fundamentals of the game. She has been recognized four straight years as a National Top 50 Teaching Professional by Golf For Women. Kandi was the instructor of the LPGA Tour star Dottie Pepper, winner of 17 tour events including 2 majors.

A graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Kandi Kessler-Comer is a fine player herself. In 1985, she was ranked as a top 10 amateur golfer in United States by Golf Digest. In 1986, she represented the United States of America in the Curtis Cup Matches. In 2002, she was named one of the Top 50 female golfers in ACC history.

Kandi Comer Golf is located at Old Trail Golf Club in Crozet, Virginia, just West of Charlottesville. An 18-hole championship course, Old Trail was designed to conform to the natural features of the land. Tees and greens are bent-grass, the fairways are Zoysia, and the first rough is a Bluegrass-Fescue blend with the second rough comprised of various restoration and reclamation species. Whether an accomplished player or beginner, all are welcome to enjoy the course and practice facilities.
